  The CBFA, created as a result of the integration of the Insurance Supervisory Authority (ISA) into the Banking and Finance Commission (BFC), is the single supervisory authority for the Belgian financial sector since 1 January 2004.

  Euronext N.V is the first cross-border exchange in Europe. Euronext was formed in 2000 when the exchanges of Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris merged.   The National Office for Securities makes it possible for people whose securities, of both private or public sectors, have been lost, stolen or destroyed to oppose the purchase of these securities and the rights resulting from them. The Office registers objections to bearer securities issued by both Belgian or foreign private companies.

  The Ledgers Department is part of the Federal Debt Department. It is responsible for the financial servicing of the registered entries. Registered entries are possible for the following financial products: State Notes, linear bonds and Treasury certificates.

  The members of the High Council of Finance are high level experts whose mission is to analyse and study fundamental budgetary, financial and tax issues and to suggest adaptations or reforms.
